Created for The Contemporary Pattern and Color show in conjunction with Opera Omaha. Inspired by David Hockney’s art for Stravinsky’s The Rake’s Progress This piece was displayed at The Orpheum Theater during the Opera’s performance. The color palette follows Hockney’s works, while the collage layer mixes textures, patterns, synopsis and abstracts of the Opera, and sheet music from the original score. Collection includes photos of the original collage layer and a personal explanation of all the pieces used- only the artist and the collector will ever know all the mysteries beneath the layers!
